Jill Halfpenny shared news of an exciting career first during an appearance on This Morning on Wednesday.
The Geordie actress returned to screens on Tuesday night in new Channel 5 drama The Holiday, playing mother and detective Kate, whose dream family holiday and reunion with old friends immediately turns sour when she discovers some incriminating messages on husband Sean's phone.
With her career skills at her disposal, Kate attempts to get to the bottom of what's going on, trying to work out who is the friend Sean has betrayed her with.

But, by focusing on her investigations, she fails to realise daughter Lucy is growing close to the mysterious Jake, one of her friend's sons.
The Holiday made its debut on Tuesday night, following Jill' s appearance in another Channel 5 series - The Drowning - last year.
And, as well as talking to This Morning hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby about that, she also revealed news of another project on the horizon - her first ever documentary.
Jill, who shot to fame on Byker Grove over 30 years ago now, explained: "I've just filmed a documentary about Easter and what it means to people.
"Does it mean anything to you? Are you a spiritual person? Are you a religious person?"
The former Waterloo Road actress added: "You know, I've never done a documentary before and, as you know, with presenting; the hardest thing is to be engaged all the time with people you're talking to.
"Because once a camera is put in their face, they can become quite unpredictable can't they? So that was really interesting to be in that situation."
The documentary will see Jill visit a number of locations in her native North East to talk about their spirituality and what religion means to them.
The Holiday continues on Channel 5 on Wednesday night, with the remaining episodes on Thursday and Friday.
