Jill Biden was pressed by Today show host Craig Melvin regarding her public encouragement of Joe Biden after his 2024 debate, despite her private concern that he might have been having a stroke.
She explained that she felt compelled to encourage her husband after the debate, telling him, “You answered every question,” even though she knew he “messed up.”
Promoting her new book, Jill Biden also stated that Joe Biden was “slowing down” by the end of his presidency due to natural aging, though she saw no cognitive decline .
She revealed Joe Biden's prostate cancer diagnosis four months after leaving office was a “shock” and questioned why it was not discovered earlier.
These admissions are being made as Jill Biden promotes her new book, “View From the West Wing: A Memoir,” which is set to be released on Tuesday.
