Jharkhand: Criminal case against Union minister quashed

Jharkhand Narendra Singh Tomar Dhanbad Lok Sabha

RANCHI: The Jharkhand high court on Tuesday quashed the entire criminal proceedings initiated against Union agriculture minister Narendra Singh Tomar. The minister was facing a criminal case for making statements at a political rally in Dhanbad during the 2016 Lok Sabha election.

During the rally, Tomar was campaigning for the BJP candidate in Dhanbad and had said while Narendra Modi is a hair on the moustache, Rahul Gandhi is a hair on the tail.
