Jharkhand: 59-year-old RPF jawan, Magho Oraon, walks away with glory

RANCHI: A 59-year-old Railway Protection Force (RPF) jawan, Magho Oraon, outran his peers and competitors less than half his age at the 20-km walking race of the force’s inter-divisional sports competition in Chakradharpur on Friday.

While Oraon, who was competing from the Ranchi division, finished first in the race, his nearest competitor, 25-year-old Ashok Kumar, came second. Oraon’s feat came a day after he successfully completed a 10-km race in the competition.
