Jhansi: A man, whose child received severe burn injuries in Jhansi hospital fire, has accused the police and administration of threatening him for speaking over the tragedy.
The man, identified as Kuldeep, who is also one of the eyewitnesses of the fire that claimed the lives of at least 10 infants, stated that the hospital was engulfed in thick smoke. See the video.
Kuldeep evacuates children
"We also saved several children. My own child was found burnt. We broke the lock at the back of the hospital to evacuate children," Kuldeep told Dynamite News.

Kuldeep makes series allegation
Kuldeep has alleged that he was receiving threats from the police and administration for speaking out about the incident.
Initial investigations suggest that the fire extinguishers installed at the Jhansi Medical College hospital had expired, rendering them ineffective in controlling the blaze.
The ward where the fire broke out had been touted as having "world-class" facilities just ten months ago, being described as a state-of-the-art NICU.

At least 10 infants were charred to death and many others injured after a massive fire broke out at the Maharani Laxmi Bai Medical College's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) late Friday evening, officials said.
According to hospital officials, there were more than 50 infants admitted to the NICU ward and several infants trapped have been rescued.
'Many babies still missing'
Meanwhile, some parents told the Dynamite News correspondent that their babies are still missing.
