The New York Jets have been making personnel changes on offense in recent weeks, and they’ll be making another change in Week 12 versus the Miami Dolphins. Ahead of the AFC East showdown on Friday, Allen Lazard will be inactive for the Jets, being named a healthy scratch.
Lazard wasn’t on the injury report throughout the week, so this decision is based on his performance this season. Mekhi Becton won’t be suiting up on Friday due to an ankle injury, while Duane Brown is active following a stint on injured reserve.
The other inactives besides Lazard and Becton will be offensive tackle Austin Deculus, linebacker Sam Eguavoen, defensive end Carl Lawson, cornerback Michael Carter II, and quarterback Zach Wilson.
Even with Brown back, rookie Carter Warren could see some snaps at left tackle in Becton’s absence. Carter could be missed in a large way against a high-octane aerial attack of the Dolphins.
