Two players, including a defensive starter, for the New York Jets will miss Sunday’s game against the New England Patriots because of an injury.
Starting safety Tony Adams injured his hamstring during last week’s game against the Dallas Cowboys and did not practice all week. He is out meaning Adrian Amos is likely to start next to Jordan Whitehead on Sunday.
Buy Jets TicketsThe Jets will also be without backup interior offensive lineman Wes Schweitzer. He popped up on the injury report Friday with a concussion. Schweitzer missed four games in 2022 with a concussion.
Three players are listed as questionable including left tackle Duane Brown, who dealt with a new hip injury this week to go with his shoulder injury he has been listed with. Brown did not practice all week but the Jets left open the door that he could still play Sunday. If not, it will likely be Billy Turner starting in his place.
Also questionable are edge John Franklin-Myers (hip) and kicker Greg Zuerlein (groin). Both were full participants in practice Friday, which should be a good sign for their availability Sunday.
The Patriots have five players listed as questionable: DL Christian Barmore (knee), CB Jonathan Jones (ankle), OL Mike Onwenu (ankle), OL Sidy Sow (concussion) and OG Cole Strange (knee). All were limited all week except for Sow who did not practice Thursday but was back in a limited fashion Friday.
