Offensive tackle Mike Remmers, recently promoted from the practice squad, signed a one-year deal to remain on the active roster with the Jets, per his agent, Brett Tessler.
Buy Jets TicketsMy client Mike Remmers who was elevated to the Jets roster off their psquad this weekend has just signed a new 1-year contract and will remain on their roster the rest of the season. 11-year vet OT brings great experience, versatility, and leadership.

Remmers joined the Jets’ practice squad late in September and was elevated to the active roster for Sunday’s game against the Packers, though he was deemed inactive for the game. That elevation may have just been to ensure the Jets keep Remmers and prevent another team from swiping him from the practice squad to their own active roster.
Remmers is now set on the Jets’ active roster. The Jets released Conor McDermott in a corresponding move.
