Johnson played mostly special teams for the Jets in 2022 but did see some work on offense, particularly in the second half of the season. He rushed for 160 yards on 30 carries and added 88 yards on 12 catches.
Johnson’s best day rushing came in the 31-10 Week 12 win over the Chicago Bears, rushing five times for 62 yards and a touchdown. His best receiving day of the season came the following week against the Minnesota Vikings, with 38 yards on six catches.
The Jets are back to four running backs on the roster: Breece Hall, Michael Carter, Bam Knight and Johnson.
