With the league year officially beginning Wednesday afternoon, teams were able to officially announce any moves that were reported prior to Wednesday. The Jets did just that with one of their moves, the acquisition of safety Chuck Clark from the Baltimore Ravens.
The Jets are sending a 7th-round pick in 2024 back to Baltimore as compensation.

Clark is entering his 7th season in the NFL. He played in all 17 games last season, recording 101 tackles and four passes defended. He has played in all but two games since coming into the league in 2017 as a 6th-round pick out of Virginia Tech.
Clark will make about $4.1 million in what is the final year of a three-year contract extension he signed with the Ravens back in 2020. He will essentially replace Lamarcus Joyner in the lineup.
