Look, this is not a way of celebrating Winnipeg Jets forward Morgan Barron returning to the ice on Tuesday in their Game 1 playoff win over the Vegas Golden Knights.
I’m merely reporting what happened. Barron got cut by the sharp skate of Golden Knights netminder Laurent Brossoit above his eye, with blood pouring out everywhere, received 75 — yes, 75 — stitches … and returned to the game.
You can watch the video of what happened below and Barron talking about it, and I’ve tried really hard to avoid any video of the result of the cut. I’m glad he’s OK! He seemed in good spirits after the game:

“They did a great job stitching me up and, obviously, it missed my eye. I was glad it didn’t get me in a real bad spot, but they did a great job fixing me up.” pic.twitter.com/d4HK5rlwxB

Morgan Barron needed 75+ stitches but was too busy wondering if the Jets scored. 😅 pic.twitter.com/L0KgDvFUl2
