Jets’ Garrett Wilson wins AFC Offensive Player of the Week

New York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson has been honored by the NFL after his incredible efforts in Week 9.

Wilson played a huge role in his team’s 21-13 win over the Houston Texans in their last outing. His final stat line earned him AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors:

The clear highlight of Wilson’s game was his one-handed touchdown catch for 26 yards which gave his team the win. It is in “Catch of the Year” discussion.

In total, Wilson had nine grabs for 90 yards in the win. Another one of those catches was another one-handed touchdown grab as Wilsons cored twice.

This is the first time Wilson, the 2022 Offensive Rookie of the Year, has earned POTW honors in his career.

It is also the first time a Jets player has won itin general since Week 14 of last season when quarterback Zach Wilson took home the honor.
