Depending on how well it’s made, a suitcase tends to last about a decade. Maybe less, if you bought a cheaper (and therefore less durable) model.
America is traveling a lot more in the (sort of) post-pandemic era, and if you’ve been thinking it's time to get new luggage, JetBlue (JBLU) would like to talk with you.
Don’t Miss: Thousands of Flights in the U.S. Are Being Cancelled. Here’s Why
The discount airline has announced the formation of the subsidiary company JetBlue Travel Products. As of today, customers can purchase luggage bags from the companies Briggs & Riley d and Solo through JetBlue’s travel, car and hotel booking website Paisly.com.
Each purchase of a luggage bag will let customers earn TrueBlue points that could help them qualify for various levels of Mosaic status.
Briggs & Riley has a focus on sustainability, and the items on Paisly.com are designed to make packing easier for customers, and will be offering packing cubes, toiletry kits and more.
Solo also targets the eco-conscious consumer, and will be offering items such suitcases, backpacks, totes, duffels and hybrid bags from its Re:cycled Collection. All bags sold from this collection directly helps reforest U.S. National Forest through the brand’s partnership with the National Forest Foundation. Solo aims to recycle 40,000,000 plastic bottles from landfills by 2024.
“Giving customers the option to purchase luggage and bags on Paisly.com gives them a one-stop-shop solution to all their travel needs, and offers customers even more ways to earn TrueBlue points," said Andres Barry, President, JetBlue Travel Products.
“U.S. Luggage Company’s commitment to making travel more seamless and sustainable is in perfect harmony with JetBlue’s brand, and we're thrilled to join forces to continue to deliver exceptional customer experiences across all segments of our customers’ journey.”
