Two women have spoken about the disaster they experienced as passengers were left stranded in Palma Airport after a Jet2 flight to Manchester was 'delayed' for almost 24 hours. Nyomi Loftus and Megan Sainsbury say they were left without food or water for 11 hours after their flight from Spain back home was cancelled.
On Saturday (June 18), the duo arrived at the airport early for their Jet2 flight home, which was due to depart at 11.25pm. However, after a number of delays, the pair were eventually given an update more than three hours later at 3.50am that their flight had been cancelled.
Nyomi and Megan say a mix-up with the baggage process caused Jet2 to "miss their slot to fly". Around 70 water bottled were handed out to the 380 passengers of the flight before arrangements for hotels were made, Nyomi told the Manchester Evening News.
