Jet2 has announced another update as travel gets busier, with many people planning trips now covid rules have been lifted.
The travel provider has responded to "strong demand" for flights and holidays. On Wednesday, Jet2 announced more routes and new destinations for summer 2023 from a number of UK airports.
It comes after the tour operator added thousands of extra holidays and flight seats to Crete earlier this year. Extra routes were also created to link a number of UK airports to resorts in Spain, Turkey and Portugal.

Here are the new destinations added for next summer:

- Birmingham - Sardinia
- Birmingham - Sicily
- Birmingham - Bourgas (Bulgaria)
- London Stansted - Rome
- London Stansted - Athens
Those flying from Manchester Airport will also see a 23rd aircraft coming into operation for next summer. Some popular destinations will have as many as 17 Jet2 flights a week from the airport. Birmingham and London Stansted will each see a 14th aircraft added.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “The addition of more destinations and extra capacity from three bases comes on the back of enormous demand for our award-winning flights and holidays from Birmingham, London Stansted and Manchester Airports and, as always, we are quick to respond.
"Summer 23 will see an additional aircraft come into our fleet at each of these bases, meaning local holidaymakers and independent travel agents have even more choice and flexibility. The addition of new destinations from Birmingham, London Stansted and Manchester Airports really expands our offering. In addition to flying customers to their favourite holiday destinations from these bases.”
