A budget airline had to abort multiple landings after planes were seen "tilting" during strong winds.
Jet2 aircraft were seen taking unusual paths through the air as they tried to combat the heavy gusts around Manchester Airport on Tuesday.
It comes after the Met Office forecast wind speeds of up to 26mph in the area.
The LS892 flight from Lanzarote had to perform a "go-around" and head to Birmingham International after an initial attempted landing proved tricky.
In a Manchester Airport Facebook group, a witness said they had spotted one plane on a worrying flight path.
They wrote: "Did anybody just witness this aircraft over Stockport? I thought it was falling from the sky."

Another said: "Winds really strong. I live on Shadow Moss and they've been getting knocked around all afternoon."
Another commented: "Yes me too, I watched it. Was tilting left very bad."
Flight data from FlightRadar24, which shows the plane left the Canary Islands at around 3pm, dipped to an altitude of just 2,300ft over Stockport while approaching Manchester before it went to Birmingham, landing at around 7.30pm, reports Manchester Evening News.
An even scarier flight, the LS782 from Gran Canaria that was meant to land in Manchester, was diverted 163 miles away to Newcastle, after its flight path revealed that the plane was forced to circle the north-west of England several times.
FlightRadar24 data revealed that the plane dipped to a terrifying altitude of 1,000 ft as it tried to land at Manchester, before its pilot landed it in Newcastle shortly before 8pm.
Jet2 told the MEN that both flights had been diverted due to the weather conditions and that passengers would receive transport on a coach back to Manchester.
It comes after a dad turned up to the airport gate to discover he was the ONLY passenger boarding his Jet2 flight - so was called a 'King' by cabin crew and treated it like his own private jet.
Paul Wilkinson, from St Annes, Lancashire, was flying to meet family in Belfast from Faro, Portugal, on March 30, but started panicking when he got to his gate as there was no queue in sight.
The 65-year-old says that after asking airport staff if his flight had been delayed or cancelled, they told him that he was their VIP guest as he would be the only passenger on board.
Project manager Paul travelled to the plane on a double shuttle bus all by himself and had his pick of the seats on the flight.
He says he was treated like royalty by cabin crew who called him King Paul while he stretched out on the front row and he even had a chat with the captain before take-off.
