Jet2 becomes first airline to ditch face masks on flights - but there are still some exceptions

It is no longer compulsory to wear a face mask on Jet2 flights or at airports from which the Leeds airline operates.

However, the airline, based at Leeds Bradford Airport, still recommends passengers wear a face covering on its aircrafts and at its airports, including Leeds Bradford, in keeping with government guidelines to reduce the spread of Covid.

Jet2 says travellers will still need to wear face masks when leaving the plane at their destination airports abroad and in Scotland where face masks are still legally required.
