Jet2 is expanding its operation as more Brits look to jet off abroad, with one million free child places among the holiday deals. The tour operator and airline has announced the expansion of its Summer 22 programme, with extra flights added to destinations including mainland Spain, the Canaries, the Balearics, Turkey and Portugal (Faro) from across its 10 UK bases.
Capacity for summer travel next year is being raised at Birmingham, Stansted and Manchester airports. Among the extra locations added are Sicily and Sardinia from Birmingham, with Tivat in Montenegro available from Manchester, and Athens and Rome from Stansted, Hull Live reports.
More planes will also be taking off from the airports, with Birmingham serving 52 destinations including the resumption of flights to Bourgas in Bulgaria, with 55 locations available from Manchester and 42 routes from Stansted. Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “The addition of more destinations and extra capacity from three bases comes on the back of enormous demand for our award-winning flights and holidays from Birmingham, London Stansted and Manchester airports and, as always, we are quick to respond. Summer ’23 will see an additional aircraft come into our fleet at each of these bases.
