A respected travel study has found that the Turkish resort of Marmaris offers the best value-for-money travel deals this summer where holiday cash will go further. Post Office Travel Money Holiday Report 2022 discovered the region beaches offered the best spot for holidaymakers looking to enjoy great value in the Turkish sunshine.
The Post Office’s annual Holiday Money Report compared the cost of eight everyday tourist items across 36 destinations worldwide. These included a cup of tea, a three-course evening meal for two with wine, a bottle of beer, glass of wine, can of Coca-Cola, sunscreen and insect repellent.
With a reported price drop of 37 per cent year-on-year and an average daily cost for common holiday spends standing at £26.13, Marmaris emerged as the destination where holidaymakers’ pounds will stretch the furthest. Airline and tour operator Jet2 is offering a programme of flights and holidays to Dalaman, which serves Marmaris, from across its UK bases, with more than 80 weekly flights during peak times.
