Jet2 has announced plans to expand its services at Manchester Airport. The airline is set to add more routes to their biggest UK bases in summer 2023 in order to meet customer demand.

Unveiling a major expansion to its travel programme, Jet2 revealed that they will be operating services to Tivat, Montenegro from Manchester next year. To support this new route they will be bringing a 23rd aircraft into operation from the airport.

The airline also announced the new services to Sicily and Sardinia will be flying from Birmingham Airport. Meanwhile Athens and Rome have been added to its London Stansted destinations.

It comes as the airline reports a huge surge in demand for holidays following the pandemic. In addition to the new routes, it will also expand their existing programmes to popular destinations including the Canary Islands, Mainland Spain, Turkey, Croatia and Greece.

In summer 2023, Jet2 will operate services to 55 destinations with over 325 departing flights each week during peak periods from Manchester Airport, making it the airline’s biggest base in the UK. Other popular destinations you can fly to include Antalya, Tenerife, Palma and Rhodes.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays said: “Hot on the heels of being recognised as Which? Travel Brand of the Year, we are announcing more award-winning flights and holidays for customers and independent travel agents to choose from.

“The addition of more destinations and extra capacity from three bases comes on the back of enormous demand for our award-winning flights and holidays from Birmingham, London Stansted and Manchester Airports and, as always, we are quick to respond. Summer 23 will see an additional aircraft come into our fleet at each of these bases, meaning local holidaymakers and independent travel agents have even more choice and flexibility.

“The addition of new destinations from Birmingham, London Stansted and Manchester Airports really expands our offering. In addition to flying customers to their favourite holiday destinations from these bases, we continue to have a laser focus on delivering the very best experience so that customers choose us time and time again.”
