A warning has been issued to UK holidaymakers who are planning to go to France as major delays are expected this week due to strikes.
Passengers are likely to be affected in April, as unions across France called for a 12th day of strike action covering a number of sectors, including transport. Airlines Jet2 and Ryanair has issued warning to those who have booked flights to make sure passengers are aware of any delays and disruption.
The unions have been in an ongoing fight against an increase in the legal retirement age from 62 to 64, reports Birmingham Live. French air traffic controllers have pre-emptively cancelled around 20 percent of domestic flights at certain French airports, such as Orly-Paris, Marseille-Provence, Bordeaux, and Nantes airports.
