Jet2 Airlines and easyJet have issued a warning to people travelling to and from France this week.
Tensions within the French government have prompted protests and strikes in various sectors including aviation. It comes after President Emmanuel Macron used special constitutional powers to force through an unpopular bill raising the retirement age from 62 to 64.
In France, Air Traffic Control has confirmed strikes until Friday, March 24. This means flights to and from French airports, as well as those flying in French airspace, could be affected.

Public transport services may also be affected by the strike. In a statement, easyJet said: "We expect that there will be delays and some disruption due to the industrial action, therefore we advise all customers to check the status of their flight on our flight tracker either on our mobile app or website...
"We recommend all customers allow plenty of extra time to get to the airport and consider alternative transport options where possible. Although this situation is outside of our control, we would like to apologise to any affected passengers for the inconvenience caused."
EasyJet said if any flights are cancelled they will contact affected customers directly via email and SMS. Jet2 also issued a statement saying their UK-based operations teams were "working hard" to minimise any delays.
