Jesy Nelson sparks concern after deactivating Instagram following mass photo deletion

Jesy Nelson has sparked concern after deactivating her Instagram account - just a month after mass deleting her photos and videos.

The former Little Mix star's social media account seems to have been deleted, with her handle @jesynelson no longer available on the site.

Jesy, 31, is rumoured to be releasing new music with an independent label after parting ways with Polydor two months ago.

Her worried fans flocked to Twitter after discovering that her account had vanished, questioning what had happened.

One tweeted: "JESY NELSON HAS DEACTIVTED HER INSTAGRAM ACCOUNT #jesynelson #nickiminaj #barbz #onika #nickivmas #boyz #BoxOffice #TheLittleMermaid."

While another commented: "Jesy Nelson has officially deactivated her Instagram account."

Jesy's spokesperson told the Mirror: "Jesy has decided to concentrate on her music and re-charge her social media batteries ahead of the release of new music."

It comes after reports that Jesy is considering branching out into the beauty business.

Jesy, whose first solo single Boyz debuted at number four in the charts, is reportedly considering following in the footsteps of Rihanna and Harry Styles.

Rihanna has enjoyed huge success with her Fenty Beauty range, while Harry launched his Pleasing brand last year.

An insider said Jesy's friends urged her to move into the cosmetics game as well.

A source told The Sun : "Jesy is totally focused on her music at the moment but when that project is finalised people have bandied around the idea of her dipping her toe into the cosmetics market.

"She and her pals have seen the success of Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty and Iman’s cosmetics line and some of those close to her think she could do well by emulating that.

"Jesy’s new music is all about feeling cool and confident, and in the future she could diversify her brand in a way that lets her do that with hair and make-up.”
