Jesy Nelson reportedly declined the opportunity to appear on Kate Garraway 's Life Stories, instead choosing to focus solely on her music career ahead of her debut album.
The singer, 30, has been working on her upcoming album for the last couple of months and travelled stateside earlier this year where she spent time recording.
Fans are awaiting new music following the release of her debut solo single, Boyz, last year - which had been released around a year after she had departed from group Little Mix.
Having been part of one of the world's biggest girl bands for almost a decade, it's no surprise that Jesy - like her former bandmates - has attracted attention over her personal life.
She is said to have been approached to appear on chat show Life Stories for the first series that was hosted by Kate, 54 - who took over from Piers Morgan, 56, last year.
It's been reported that Jesy was contacted by ITV bosses following the release of her debut single but left them "gutted by declining" the opportunity, according to the Sun.
A source told the outlet recently that she had been "one of the top people" that producers had hoped to sign up for the new series - which aired over a few weeks last month.
The source said: "They really tried to make it work but Jesy and her team decided the timing wasn't right." It was cited that the reason was that her focus is her music right now.
It was stated that taking part would have distracted from this, with the source saying: "Drawing the attention back to her personal life would have felt like a step backwards."
The first series of Kate Garraway's Life Stories saw former footballer John Barnes, chef Nadiya Hussain and singer Charlotte Church candidly discuss their lives and careers.

Kate took over as host of the series - which features one celebrity guest each episode - after being the last guest to be interviewed by the show's original presenter Piers.
The former Good Morning Britain host announced his departure from Life Stories - which he had fronted since it debuted in 2009 - on social media in October last year.
The Mirror approached reps of Jesy and ITV for comment on this article about Kate Garraway's Life Stories.
