Jesy Nelson appeared to confirm her knowledge about Little Mix 's hiatus in an interview back in August 2021.
The 30-year-old Bad Boyz singer predicted that her former bandmates would take a break after Perrie Edwards and Leigh-Anne Pinnock welcomed their babies.
In an interview with The Guardian, Jesy was asked whether she thought Perrie, Leigh-Anne, and their other bandmate Jade Thirlwall would continue singing as a trio after two of them ventured into motherhood.
In response, Jesy predicted that her former bandmates would split while Perrie and Leigh-Anne raise their children.
However, she also predicted that the trio would reunite down the line and start making music again.
"I reckon they'll look after their babies, go off and do their own things for a while, then make a comeback together," the singer shared.
It comes after Jade recently revealed that the band had started talks about going on hiatus in 2020 when Jesy was still a member of Little Mix.
On Charli XCX’s podcast, Jade revealed that Little Mix started discussing a hiatus in the first half of 2020 - before the release of the Confetti album and while the group were still a four-piece.
And back in December, Jade, Perrie, and Leigh-Anne announced that they would in fact be going on hiatus after ten incredibly successful years in the music industry.
The talented trio announced they would be taking a well-deserved break following their postponed tour which kicks off later this month.
The girls announced in a statement: "We wanted to let you all know that after the Confetti tour in April/May next year we are going to be taking a break from Little Mix.
"We are not splitting up - Little Mix are here to stay. We have plans for more music, tours and performances in the future.
"We’ve made so many incredible memories with you all, and we can’t wait to make so many more.
"We’re sisters and we’ll always have each other and you, the fans, in our lives. Little Mix is forever. See you on tour. Jade, Leigh-Anne and Perrie."
Meanwhile, Jesy has recently teased brand-new music after the success of her first solo single, Bad Boyz, which stormed the charts at the end of last year.
Jesy announced her departure from Little Mix in December 2020 after almost ten years.
