Jessie James Decker shows off short hair transformation as she gets emotional on runway

Jessie James Decker unveiled her latest hairstyle whilst on the runway at a fashion show this week, seemingly having locks cut off backstage at the event for her fashion brand.

The singer, 35, showcased the latest collection by her brand Kittenish alongside a host of models as part of the annual Miami Swim Week in a presentation on Friday afternoon.

Outfits featured in the show included bikinis and cover-ups, with Jessie herself having modelled a two-piece crochet top and skirt set from the collection on the runway in Miami.

She shared content from behind-the-scenes on her Instagram Story, including teasing that she had undergone a hair cut shortly before the fashion show began.

Alongside other backstage content, Jessie shared a photo that showed strands of hair on the floor. She tagged hair stylist Carly Bethel in the photo, shared before the show.

Jessie later graced the runway herself, sporting a much shorter hairstyle than usual. She opted for a slicked back look with her hair, which complimented her beach attire.

Footage from the event showed her crying as she reached the end of the runway whilst met with support from the audience, before she was joined by the other models.

She confirmed to her followers that she had undergone a bit of a hair transformation in subsequent posts, showing off the new look with a mirror selfie after the fashion show.

Jessie modelled a co-ordinated green top and skirt, which is understood to be from the collection, in the photo. She wrote in the accompanying caption: "New hair who dis?"

Others posts since the show include her having promoted a two-piece swimsuit and she later told her followers: "[I'm] waking up still in awe of how amazing last night went."

Prior to the fashion presentation, Jessie had teased whilst backstage that the "run through went great" and said she had told the models to "work it" on the runway.

Jessie founded Kittenish back in 2014, with it said that the fashion brand "mixes flirty feminine with a sassy edge".

The brand's first store opened in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2019. Subsequent retail space for the brand has since opened in Tampa, Florida, and more recently in Dallas, Texas.

It's just one of the projects Jessie has pursued alongside her music career, having also appeared on reality TV show alongside her husband, former NFL player Eric Decker.

The couple - who now have three children together - were the subject of the E! show Eric & Jessie: Game On, which ran for three seasons from its debut in 2014 until 2017.

Last year, Jessie returned to TV as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars. She was partnered with professional dancer Alan Bersten on the ABC show and they placed tenth.
