Jesse Marsch has heaped praise on Jack Harrison after the Leeds United winger netted his sixth goal of the season in their 1-1 draw against Southampton. The 25-year-old scored the Whites' opener, poking home from close-range to spark delirium at Elland Road.
This was all before James Ward-Prowse struck a excellent free-kick into the top corner to earn his side a point. The result leaves the Whites in 16th, eight points above the relegation zone heading into the final seven matches.
However, it proved to be a memorable afternoon for Harrison, who netted his third on home soil this term and it wasn't just his strike that was impressive. He worked really hard out of possession and possessed quality on the ball as he gave Tino Livramento a torrid time on the left-hand side.

With Harrison seemingly becoming a mainstay in the Leeds team since Marsch's arrival, it has given him an opportunity to get regular game time after being in and out of the team under Bielsa. And the American has admitted that Harrison is becoming a 'big' player for his side.
He said: "I feel like Jack is becoming a really solid, clear, intelligent, intensive player for us. So you know, obviously, we want to keep developing him and keep pushing him but I’ve been really happy with the progress that he’s made over the last month.
"I think if he can continue to understand tactically and understand the mentality of the way we want to play, that he can get better and better and better. So yeah, and then I think again, all the players ahead of the ball will be able to put together more more dangerous actions and find more goals."
