Jesse Marsch has broken his silence on his Leeds United sacking more than seven weeks after he was removed from his position. The American was dismissed on February 6, the day after United’s loss to Nottingham Forest.
The Whites had been on a run of two wins in 17 Premier League matches when the board decided to act after an insipid 1-0 loss to Forest at the City Ground. Marsch departed United with 11 wins, 10 draws and 16 defeats from his 37 matches in charge.
Up until now, Marsch had not spoken publicly about his time with the Whites or his sacking. Taking to social media, he said he had taken time out to reflect on his year at the helm.

The 49-year-old said he would always reflect on last season’s final-day survival act with pride while he remained grateful for working with the players and staff at Thorp Arch.
“I've taken some time out for myself over the last couple of months and it's been a good chance to reflect on aspects of life while in Leeds,” he said. “I'm very proud of our achievements, like staying up in 21/22, and when I look back on my time at Leeds I'll think of that with great pride.
“I'm also grateful to have worked with a great group of players and staff and to have met some fantastic people in Yorkshire. I'm taking some time to consider the right next step, but until then, I'll be enjoying time with family and friends.”
