Nottingham Forest supporters would seemingly welcome Jesse Lingard’s departure at the end of the season amid reporting interest from the US and Saudi Arabia.
The England midfielder’s move to the City Ground has not panned out as hoped. His start at Tottenham was his first this calendar year, in part due to injury, while he is yet to contribute either a goal or an assist in the Premier League.
His contract with Forest runs out at the end of the season, and clubs are now beginning to track him ahead of a summer transfer. Journalist Peter O’Rourke has reported that clubs in MLS and in Saudi Arabia have been keeping tabs on the 30-year-old.
