Good morning, Reds fans! Here are your latest Nottingham Forest headlines with just three more days until Steve Cooper's men play their first Premier League match.
Dean Henderson slams Manchester United in explosive rant and reveals Erik ten Hag snub
Nottingham Forest 's on-loan keeper Dean Henderson has blasted his parent club Manchester United for wasting a year of his career.
The goalkeeper claims the club went back on a promise that he would be the first-choice keeper, instead they left him kicking his heels in the reserves. Speaking in an interview with talkSPORT, he didn't hold back when talking about the difficult time in his career.
He stated: "To be honest, it has been the toughest 12 months of my career. It's been hard and I am so glad I got out the other side of it."
Nottingham Forest confirm forward transfer
Nottingham Forest have confirmed that forward Xande Silva has left the club to join French side Dijon on a permanent deal.
Silva has been with the club since joining from West Ham United on deadline day last summer, but he failed to make a big impact at the City Ground, making just 10 first team appearances for the club.
With just one year left on his contract, the Forest forward has moved onto pastures new, signing what is reported to be a three-year deal with the Ligue 2 side. Forest will receive an undisclosed fee, although it is not expected that the fee will be too big given the player’s contract situation and standing in the Reds squad. He was signed for the Hammers for a fee of around £200,000.
Premier League to make major VAR change that will impact Nottingham Forest
Premier League chief executive Richard Masters has confirmed that recordings of audio between Video Assistant Referee (VAR) officials and referees will be made available to fans after matches.
There has been a call for more transparency in the way decisions are made, even before the introduction of VAR, among fans, with some calls for the referees to be mic'd up in order for fans to hear the conversations. Football’s lawmakers don’t allow live broadcasts of the audio, but it has confirmed that recordings could be released after the full-time whistle.
VAR has had a patchy start to life in the Premier League after being introduced at the start of the 2019/20 season. A number of decisions throughout the league since then have been questioned.
Jesse Lingard 'buzzing' after Man Utd exit as brilliant Nottingham Forest texts revealed
Jesse Lingard is 'buzzing' to be at Nottingham Forest, says his former Manchester United teammate Dean Henderson.
In a revealing interview on talkSPORT, Henderson reveals that he kept nagging Lingard to get the deal over the line, but admits that Steve Cooper had already done the hard work.
Henderson revealed: "He is buzzing, he really believes in this project like me. I was messaging him every day telling him to come and join me."
