The Boston Celtics and Atlanta Hawks are set to take the court to play the first of at least four games in their first round series in the 2023 NBA Eastern Conference Playoffs, and for at least those four contests, the Celtics and Hawks have their uniform choices set.
Selecting from each of the four uniforms put together by the folks at Nike behind the Association, City, Icon, and Statement official jersey designs, the folks in charge of making these seemingly minor decisions have made their selections. For now, just the minimum number of contests — four — from the potential seven games in the series now have corresponding uniform choices posted at the league’s Lockervision site.
No point picking uniforms for games that may not be played, we suppose (h/t SI’s Pat Benson). Let’s take a look at the jerseys we will see on the court in Games 1 – 4.

For Game 1 of the series in Boston, the Celtics will wear their Bill Russell-influenced City Edition jerseys, a fitting way to kick off the push for Banner 18.
On the other end of the court, the Hawks will don their Association Edition Uniforms.
For Game 2, the Celtics will switch things up and wear their Association jerseys for a classic look on their home court of TD Garden.
Atlanta will put on their slick Statement Edition unis.
For Game 3 in Atlanta, the Hawks will stick with their Statement Editions, perhaps hoping it will bring them a little luck.
Boston will wear their Icon Edition jerseys for another classic fit between two O.G. NBA franchises.
Finally, for Game 4 the Hawks will wear their Statement Edition jerseys once again (let’s hope they are getting washed, eh?).
And for Boston, another go with the Icon Edition jerseys will be the selection for the last of the four games that will without a doubt be played in the series.
