At least five people have died and four more feared missing after a suspected gas blast ripped through a block of flats, as the island of Jersey begins mourning.
Flags on public buildings have been lowered to half mast and a minute's silence was held at 11am in a mark of respect for those who lost their lives.
The flags, including those at St Helier port close to where the blast happened, will continue to fly at half-mast until sunset on December 23.
