Jerry Springer in high spirits in final video captured one month before his death

Fans of the late Jerry Springer are detailing how the talk-show host kept his spirits high in his last video posted to TikTok, just a month before he passed away.

The family of the beloved 79-year-old presenter confirmed that Jerry passed peacefully at his Chicago home on Thursday morning, with tributes pouring in on social media after the news broke.

In his final video appearance on TikTok back in March, Jerry took to the Jerry Springer Show's official account to post a clip of himself dancing to viral soundtrack Jackie Brown by Brent Faiyaz - otherwise known as 'pretty boy flow'.

The Mirror reports that captioning the video, he wrote: "Only been a few hours but it felt like days," alongside a heart and plaster emoji. In the brief clip, Jerry danced in front of a green screen, before the shot panned to him sat on a stool while casting crew copied his slick moves in the background.

And prior do his death, users swarmed to the video to comment how Jerry hadn't aged a single day since their childhoods. One, wrote: "How is it that Jerry has looked the same my entire life," while another, added: "Jerry is not aging at all….I watched him as a teenager and I’m in my 40’s. He looks the same."

A third, penned: "An icon," while someone else, questioned: "How this man been the same age since I was 3."

Another user, wrote: "He look so good to be his age," while another, quipped: "Wowwwww Jerry is aging VERY gracefully!"

The video itself has now racked up over 223,000 likes, as well as over 4,600 comments - many of which paying respect to the late celebrity. Announcing the news yesterday, Jene Galvin, a spokesperson for Jerry's family, said in a statement: "Jerry's ability to connect with people was at the heart of his success in everything he tried, whether that was politics, broadcasting or just joking with people on the street who wanted a photo or a word.

"He's irreplaceable and his loss hurts immensely, but memories of his intellect, heart and humour will live on."

The American TV star is best known for hosting The Jerry Springer Show for almost three decades, which saw outraged guests settle their beef in front of a live studio audience.
