American TV legend Jerry Springer has passed away at the age of 79. The talk show host passed away peacefully in his Chicago home, according to family members. It has not yet been confirmed what his cause of death was.
However, Jerry's family said he was diagnosed with cancer a few months ago while his health had tragically taken a turn for the worse this week.

"Jerry's ability to connect with people was at the heart of his success in everything he tried whether that was politics, broadcasting or just joking with people on the street who wanted a photo or a word," family spokesman Jene Galvin said.
Jerry's last TV appearance saw him on the last season of 'The Masked Singer" where he delivered a performance as 'The Beetle' while singing a Frank Sinatra song. The TV show host is survived by his daughter Katie Springer and his older sister Evelyn.
