Just what you want when you are having troubles on the job: a pep talk from your boss … in front of everyone, no less.
Sunday before the San Francisco 49ers played host to the Dallas Cowboys Brett Maher was warming up his kicking leg. You know the one that missed 4 PATs Monday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and 5 in a row, overall.
The 49ers tried to mess with Maher’s mind by trying to prevent him from kicking on their side of the field.
If that didn’t upset the Cowboys kicker enough, how about when team owner Jerry Jones came over to give Maher a pep talk?
Minutes later, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones met with kicker Brett Maher and holder Bryan Anger before the field-goal warmup again resumed. Jones then chatted with 49ers kicker Robbie Gould. https://t.co/U7zHqtXblw pic.twitter.com/mFMosWg2Ez
