Jerome Bettis Jr. announced Sunday that he’ll be following in his famous father’s footsteps by revealing his commitment to Notre Dame, and he did so with a touching video.
Bettis’s father, Pro Football Hall of Famer and Pittsburgh Steelers legend Jerome Bettis, also played for the Fighting Irish during his college days, and he helped out his son during the video.
“When I made my decision on a school, I knew it would impact my life for the better,” the elder Bettis said. “Now, all I ask is that you make your decision based on what school would change your wife. Not for a season, but for a lifetime.”

The three-star wideout will graduate from Woodward Academy in Atlanta next year, and then he’ll look to replicate his father’s impact at Notre Dame.
“I’m blessed to announce my commitment to the University of Notre Dame,” the younger Bettis said. “Go Irish.”
