Former Nottingham Forest man Jermaine Jenas has said that summer signing Neco Williams will have a big influence on the team in the coming season after impressing against West Ham.
The full-back arrived at the City Ground from Liverpool this summer, replacing former loanee Djed Spence, who has moved to Tottenham. Williams has started both Premier League games so far, catching the eye in the 1-0 win over West Ham.
Taiwo Awoniyi’s first goal for the club just before half-time was enough to see Forest come out as 1-0 winners. The game also saw two VAR calls as well as a Dean Henderson penalty save.
