Jeremy King has got it wrong — influencers aren't ruining restaurants, bad manners are

Jeremy King is tired of influencers. Or at least, that’s the takeaway from his recent broadcast about content creators “ruining” restaurants. Reading the article and watching the clip, I found myself nodding along to much of what he described: guests blasting flash into fellow diners’ retinas, clogging up space in an already-too-small loo, outfit-changing for the aesthetic, returning dishes because the parsley’s pointing the wrong way. Who wouldn't find that irritating?

But here’s the thing: that’s not “influencer behaviour” — that’s just bad manners.
