Jeremy Clarkson’s TV return confirmed following cancer recovery

  • Jeremy Clarkson is confirmed to return as the host for both ITV's flagship quiz show, Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?, and its newer spin-off, Millionaire Hot Seat .
  • The announcement follows Clarkson's recent revelation of an “aggressive” prostate cancer diagnosis, which he shared on his reality show Clarkson's Farm , but he has since confirmed he is in remission after a clear PSA test .
  • ITV has recommissioned Millionaire Hot Seat for an additional 20 episodes, building on its successful debut earlier this year, and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? for a further 15 episodes.
  • Millionaire Hot Seat features contestants queuing around the hot seat, answering questions to progress, with the top prize value decreasing if they answer incorrectly, and the option to pass but return to the back of the queue.
  • Katie Rawcliffe, ITV's director of entertainment, praised the 'winning formula' of Jeremy Clarkson's hosting combined with the high-pressure gameplay, confirming the new episodes will be filmed later this year for broadcast on ITV and ITVX.
