Jeremy Clarkson turns farm shop smells into fragrance line

Jeremy Clarkson is set to launch new toiletries and fragrance line 'Grubby Farmer'.

The ex-Top Gear presenter swapped cars for cattle for the show Clarkson's Farm and will be bringing the smell of his Diddly Squat Farm to his own merchandise line, according to the Mirror.

The journalist hopes to roll out his array of fragrances once a trademark application is approved. It is being considered by the UK's Intellectual Property Office. The application includes aftershave, shaving creams, anti-wrinkle items and perfume.

Clarkson submitted his application under his company name Curdle Hill Farm Ltd.

The writer is hoping to give the public the inside scent of his Cotswolds farm shop after it became increasingly popular following his Amazon Prime Video documentary series. The merchandise line comes after a local dispute forced the shop to temporarily close.

Despite the shop being closed for two months it regularly sees queues of people forming outside trying to buy some local produce. Locals reportedly became frustrated by sightseers and farm shop customers who started clogging the small country roads in large cars in and out of the tiny ancient village.

The presenter is worth around £55.8 million and has already launched and trademarked a range of cocktails and low-alcohol drinks including 'Hawkstone Session' larger.

Clarkson’s Diddly Squat website offers a B******* Candle. It is described as “the unique and leathery scent of my car seat, blended with hints of earthy spices”.

The candle is wrapped in a design spelling out a charming message for his customers, "this smells like my b*******". It adds: “A totally unique and bespoke scent, created for Jeremy.” Grand Tour fans could see his trademark passed in a matter of weeks.
