Jeremy Clarkson's ex reckons the former Top Gear host turned down pop icon Madonna to be with her.
Phillipa Sage, 52, worked on the BBC show when she was accused of having an affair with the father-of-three, 62, in 2011.
Last year, the events organiser gushed Jeremy was the 'love of her life' and now she's written about their relationship in The Wonderful World of Jeremy Clarkson – My Life on the Road with Jeremy.
As one television's top stars, the outspoken presenter has VIP access to the glittering world of showbiz and apparently pooh-poohed the Material Girl for his alleged mistress.
In an extract from her book, Phillipa writes: "On one of my first dinners with Jeremy, he claimed to have turned down Madonna to spend the evening with me."
"It proved to be true," reports The Sun.
According to Phillipa, the couple spent lavish weekends in the company of politicians and A-listers, flying first class all the way.
She also notes the couple dined at "top tables, drank the finest wine and holidayed on private islands".
Recalling the first time she met two of Hollywood's finest in his company, she writes: "I was lucky enough to meet Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz - both incredibly grounded people.
"When Jeremy introduced me and was stumbling over his words as to what to call me – girlfriend, partner or whatever – I said I was his mother. They all roared with laughter."
The book also mentions the time the time the pair ended up doing shots with Chris Evans after which Phillipa realised she'd been 'sick in her handbag' the next day.
Writing about another evening, this time in East London, she wrote: "Mr Clarkson was most disgruntled because our private room was uncarpeted and the drinks were served in plastic cups. His lordship was not impressed."
Luckily for Jeremy, he soon discovered there was a secret door linking the room to a better party, hosted by Simon Pegg and Nick Frost's production company.
Clarkson was accused of having an affair with Phillipa while touring Australia, South Africa and Norway He was also seen kissing her while on holiday with her in Greece.
When news of their reported relationship broke, Philippa said her colleagues were not fussed, although they did ask if they should call her the First Lady from now on.
“It just meant that I got to travel in first class as The Maharaja’s companion,” she told the Mirror. Their relationship lasted until January, 2017 when they split up.
Last year, Philippa told Hertfordshire Life: “We were all burned out and the stress of it all caused my worst breakdown ever. Truly the lowest point in my life. But it was to prove the glorious turning point.”
She added: “Jeremy was the love of my life and I thought it would be forever .”
