Jeremy Clarkson’s partner Lisa Hogan has revealed her hopes of getting engaged to the former Top Gear presenter.
Fans will see The Grand Tour star, 63, and Hogan together once again in series three of Clarkson's Farm, which follows their life on the Diddly Squat Farm in Oxfordshire.
Ahead of the show’s return, the couple spoke with the Sunday Times during which the possibility of the pair getting engaged was discussed, after a proposal was mentioned in an episode.
In the episode Clarkson hinted at having a “big surprise” for his long-term partner, and when she inquired if it was a proposal, he playfully ignored the question and instead pointed out a fallen willow tree.
After Hogan then followed up about the proposal, Clarkson replied: “I'll think about the proposal, OK? I'm not ready yet.”
Discussing the exchange, Hogan told the Sunday Times: “I just thought I might surprise him.”
When asked whether she utilised February 29 for a leap year proposal, a time when women traditionally break convention by proposing, Hogan admitted: “Jeremy doesn’t think I proposed but he wasn’t wearing his hearing aids, so no one will know.”
Clarkson and Hogan were set up by mutual friends in 2017 when they met at a party and went public with their romance at the British GQ Awards that same year.
The TV presenter has been married twice before, first to Alexandra James in 1989, but split six months later, and then Frances Cain.
Clarkson and Cain were married for more than two decades and welcomed three children together including, daughters Emily and Katya as well as son Finlo, before they separated in 2014.
The TV star is due to return to screens in May as the third series of Clarkson’s Farm launches on Prime Video.
