Jennifer Zamparelli gets new tattoo with pal after removing old 'regret' one on her arm

RTE star Jennifer Zamparelli has revealed she is lasering off her tattoo on her arm – and getting a new tattoo somewhere else.

In January last year, Jennifer told listeners how getting the symbol was her biggest regret.

And now the Dancing With The Stars host has revealed she finally removed the Chinese symbol from her arm on Wednesday – and replaced it with new ink.

Speaking on her 2FM show, Jennifer said: “I don’t mind where they are. What they are is a problem. Like I’m in the process of getting a tattoo removed while getting a tattoo today with my friend.

“One of them is moving away. We had this mad idea. We’re having a mid-life crisis. I don’t know what’s going on but we’re going to get tattoos today anyway, right.

“It’s not where it is. It’s what it is. I can’t have a Chinese symbol on my arm at 40 years of age.”

But when asked to explain what her new tattoo would be, she declined to talk about it on air.

Speaking last year on her radio show, the Home Advantage host said: "Don't talk to me about tattoos. I have a Chinese symbol on my arm so I can't talk to anybody and I regret it wholeheartedly."

She said she had kept it for so long because she had heard that getting it lasered off her body would be very sore.

“It’s extremely sore, no tattoo is the new tattoo,” she said at the time.

But she admitted previously she would love to get matching tattoos with her husband, Lau.

“I have been trying to get [Lau] to get a tattoo, I want to get tattoo wedding rings because we never wear our rings.

“There have been a couple examples on Instagram as of late where people have been proclaiming their undying love for their partner because it’s their birthday or their anniversary or they got out of the bed or they had a nice dinner.

“Initially I’m like, ‘Oh for god’s sake enough of the public displays of affection,’ but that’s only because I’m not getting them myself,” Jennifer confessed.

“I’m not getting those public displays of affection, he’s not that kind of man and I thought, ‘You know what’s wrong with it? What’s wrong with your man or your woman telling the world how much they love you?’

“I think it’s a dying art. I think we need to do more of it, and why not do it?,” she said at the time.
