Jennifer Lopez takes swipe at Ben Affleck haters after 'miserable' Grammy appearance

Jennifer Lopez has hit out at criticism of husband Ben Affleck after his bored expression became a viral meme following the 50-year-old's appearance at the 2023 Grammy Awards.

Jennifer, 53, tweeted that Affleck's deadpan look is his "happy face" as she shared the promo trailer for his new film 'Air'.

The tweet comes after the couple were seen to be arguing at the 65th Grammy Awards in LA on Sunday February 5, where camera caught the moment Jennifer appeared to snap.

Upon realising the camera was watching them, the couple tried to compose themselves and turn to comedian host Trevor Noah.

Yet images of Ben Affleck's 'bored' and 'disinterested' face became a viral sensation from the awards show, with pictures of the actor being shared far and wide across social media.

Now Jennifer has hit out at those criticising Ben, as she shared his trailer with a cheeky addition calling out his "happy face" at the beginning of his new film promo.

Fans have been quick to praise her wit, as one wrote: "'My husbands happy face' absolutely love your humour you are amazing. Also this looks fire such great actors."

Another agreed, as they added: "LMAOOOOOO you’re sick for this."

"'my husband’s happy face'. Tell ‘em my Jenny," shared a third.

"THE CAPTION THOUGH," laughed a fourth.

"I laughed so hard. Your sense of humour is great," said another.

The cheeky dig at the viral meme comes after couple's tense exchange caught attention on the night of the Grammy Awards. The next morning Jennifer tried to brush it off with her own tribute to her husband, as she shared a cute snap on instagram and wrote: "Always the best time with my love, my husband."

However, eagle eyed critics have rewatched the clip of their argument where Jennifer can be seen pulling back after Ben whispers into her ear, and have labelled it as a 'red flag' moment for the couple.

The couple married last year in July after rekindling their romance, which had previously ended in 2004.

In April 2022, Ben proposed again with the couple marrying in a legal ceremony in July 2022 in Las Vegas before throwing a lavish celebration at Ben's sprawling Georgia mansion.

The couple have both been working hard since their nuptials, with Jennifer releasing 'Shotgun Wedding' and Ben co-writing and starring in comedy biopic 'Air'.

The trailer for new film 'Air' shows Ben Affleck playing Nike co-founder Phil Knight, alongside friend Matt Damon who plays Sonny Vaccaro as the pair build a basketball sneaker around undiscovered star Michael Jordan.

The film features an all-star cast including Jason Bateman, Chris Tucker and Viola Davis and has been highly anticipated for its release this year in theatres on April 5.
