Jennifer Lopez still has mixed feelings about her 2024 Met Gala look.
The 56-year-old wore a silver Schiaparelli dress to the annual event in New York City in May 2024, but Jennifer - who was in the midst of her split from actor Ben Affleck at the time - now looks back on the moment with some mixed feelings.
Jennifer - who was married to Ben between 2022 and 2025, having first been engaged to him in 2002 - told Extra: "You know, it's funny, that was a tough time in my life at the time.
"I remember I had lost a lot of weight. I had just finished Kiss of the Spider Woman, and for me, like, it's a Schiaparelli dress and I'm obsessed with Schiaparelli and Daniel Roseberry. And so for that reason alone, it's like an iconic moment for me, for myself.
"But when I look at it, I remember it was a tough time ... I look at those pictures and I feel like I look sad."
In 2025, Jennifer explained that she was leaving method dressing in the past.
Speaking to InStyle, Jennifer - who stars alongside Brett Goldstein in Office Romance, the new Ol Parker-directed romcom film - said: "I did that for so many years with my films and now it's kind of to a level where it almost becomes a costume. I'm not into that with fashion.
"I think the key is to always authentically be yourself and [do] what feels good to you in the moment, whether that's something that's older that you've done before, and classic, or something that's totally new. It just has to feel right for me right now."
Jennifer is keen to embrace a range of styles in the coming years.
The singer revealed that she planned to wear "some glam, some cool, some chic and elegant" outfits moving forward, rather than method dressing.
Looking forward to hosting the American Music Awards in 2025, she said: "I'm obviously going to be glam.
"Some glam, some cool, some chic and elegant, and some sexy, too. All the things that you associate with me and fashion."
