It’s Jen and Ben, again.
Superstars Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are engaged, Lopez revealed Friday night.
Lopez on Twitter teased a “major announcement” to be made to her inner circle. Members of that group could get the message on OnTheJLo.com.
Inner circle members saw a clip of Lopez admiring a huge, green diamond on her ring finger.
Jenny from the Block almost made it down the aisle with Affleck before. The Bronx beauty and hunk raised near Boston, met on the set of the film “Gigli,” a movie bomb that brought an explosion of passion in its stars. They were engaged to be married in September 2003, but called it off four days before the wedding, citing “extensive media attention.” Bennifer went their separate ways in 2004.
Both subsequently married, J.Lo to Marc Anthony and Affleck to Jennifer Garner, but neither marriage lasted. Neither did Lopez’s dalliance with Alex Rodriguez, which at one point seemed to promise marriage and ownership of the New York Mets.
Their romance ended in April 2021, which brought Affleck back into the picture. While “Gigli” would never warrant a sequel, Bennifer did — apparently the rare one that’s better than the original.
“We’re older now, we’re smarter, we have more experience, we’re at different places in our lives, we have kids now, and we have to be very conscious of those things,” Lopez told People in February.
Lopez has been divorced three times and has two children. Affleck has one divorce and three kids.
No wedding date is set.
