Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck had another seemingly tense exchange last night while the couple were in attendance at an event for her latest project The Mother.
The couple - who got married last year - were among the guests at the premiere for the film in Los Angeles yesterday, ahead of its release on Netflix tomorrow (May 12).
Jennifer, 53 - who leads the cast of the action project - was joined by her husband Ben, 50, at the launch event, which was held at the Westwood Regency Village Theater.
They posed for photos together whilst outside the venue in the city, with the couple appearing to have been engaged in a tense exchanged at one point in the evening.
Photos from the premiere show Jennifer wearing a co-ordinated off-white outfit whilst promoting her film and Ben opted to wear a traditional black suit, including a white shirt.
They both appear to make pointing gestures in a seemingly tense interaction at the event, with it looking as though there was some friction during the exchange last night.
One photo shows Ben sternly pointing towards something which is out of view. Another appears to show Jennifer speaking to her husband whilst he learns in towards her.
The couple seemed to be enjoying the evening though in other photos that were taken at the film premiere, which was held just days before The Mother is released.
Jennifer and Ben were seen embracing on the red carpet whilst in attendance at the event, with photos from other moments in the night showing them kissing each other.
It isn't the first time that they have seemingly been engaged in a tense exchange, with them having an apparent tense exchange at the Shotgun Wedding premiere in January.
They seemed to have another awkward interaction whilst in attendance at the Grammy Awards the following month, with a clip from it having attracted attention at the time.
Ben was seen whispering something to Jennifer, who then pulled away from him and appeared to react. Her expression seemed to change after realising they were being filmed.
Her husband however later suggested that it had been a light-hearted exchange between the couple, with him discussing the interaction with the Hollywood Reporter.
He told the outlet that he had noticed that they were being framed for a shot in the live broadcast and said he teased his wife about potentially leaving her alone in it.
Ben recalled saying to his wife that he would "slide away" from her and leave her beside host Trevor Noah. He said that she responded to him: "You better f****** not leave." Ben added: "That's a husband-and-wife thing."
The Mother will be released on Netflix tomorrow (May 12).
