Jennifer Lawrence has made her Instagram debut, but the Oscar-winning actress has already issued a warning to her followers: Be nice, or she is gone. The Oscar-winning actress shared her first post on Thursday, September 10, introducing herself to Instagram with a characteristically dry threat to abandon the platform at the first sign of negativity.
“So, yeah, I’m giving it a shot,” Lawrence said in the video. “And if anyone says anything negative, I will quit. Immediately. No questions asked.”
Lawrence, 36, took the warning a step further, joking that even thoughts her followers never express could be enough to send her packing.
“If anyone thinks something mean, I’ll know,” she joked. “I’ll know. And I’ll quit.” The “X-Men” star continued the joke in her first Instagram Story, asking her new followers to protect her emotional well-being before leaving comments.
“Please be mindful that any mean or aggressive comments can negatively affect the baby,” the message read. Lawrence then revealed who the supposedly gullible “baby” was: “It’s me. I’m the baby.”
