Jennie headlined Lollapalooza's third night in a look drawn from Ann Demeulemeester's fall 2026 collection, pairing the Belgian label's cropped regimental tailoring with black leather layers, feathered accessories and its Sarith engineer biker boots, WWD reported.

The Blackpink member closed the Bud Light Stage at Grant Park in Chicago on Saturday, Aug. 1, in what the Chicago Sun-Times described as her Lollapalooza debut. Her set followed a day disrupted by weather: heavy overnight rain flooded parts of the festival site and pushed gates back to 3 p.m. CDT, with Wolf Alice's and Cortis' sets shortened, Variety reported. Neither headliner's set time was affected, Variety said. Time Out Chicago had listed the set as running until 10 p.m. CDT — 11 p.m. ET.
WWD credited the outfit to Ann Demeulemeester and identified it as drawn from the fall 2026 collection by Stefano Gallici, who was named the label's creative director in 2023.
Jennie wore a cropped oyster-colored jacket open over a black leather bralette fastened with a small buckle at the center, according to WWD. The jacket was cut with a firm shoulder line and epaulets, and WWD described rows of silver-toned buttons and horizontal white bands as carrying the regimental reference.
Below it, she wore loose black leather trousers with a high, lace-up cummerbund, WWD reported. A tan belt was left slightly undone and allowed to hang down the front, and a black-and-white scarf was tied at her hip.
The military and biker references were softened by ruffled cuffs pulled up over her forearms, with lace ribbons trailing from her wrists, per WWD, and by a white feathered knit headband with crochet roses worn low across her forehead. She finished the look in sand-brown suede Sarith engineer biker boots, which WWD described as having darker rounded toes, low stacked heels and wide buckle straps. Ann Demeulemeester lists the style on its own site as the Sarith Engineer Biker Boots With Buckles. It is a silhouette the label has been placing widely: in the same report, WWD noted that Dua Lipa has repeatedly worn the Sarith in black and that Charli XCX chose a distressed brown version at Sundance. WWD has separately tracked the label's boots as a broader celebrity trend.
The runway source material is recognizable. For fall 2026, WWD reported, Gallici set romantic detailing against regimental coats, cropped Napoleon jackets and biker leather, in a collection the outlet's review characterized as running to "poetic ruffled blouses" and "stompy boots." Jennie's version compressed the same vocabulary — the shoulder, the lace, the buckled boot — into a shorter, lighter stage silhouette, which WWD called a cropped, subtly skin-baring performance look.
The Lollapalooza set came about a week after Jennie released her solo single "Less Than a Lover" on July 24. Earlier in the week, WWD reported, she joined Tame Impala onstage in Boston for their first live performance together of "Dracula," wearing a recreation of a Betsey Johnson spring 1999 design with Veronica Beard Analita patent leather halter sandals.
