The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Jen Shah has been sharing her thoughts on life in prison after she was sentenced for 6-and-a-half years for fraud.
The mum-of-two said she suffered an "anxiety attack" and broke down on a FaceTime call with her eldest son.
The former reality star said that she felt she "didn't belong" in prison, but is trying to make the best of it.
Shah, 49, complained about the 'brown bag breakfast', which she said she was too tired to wake up for on her second day.
Speaking about the food, she said: "It had one piece of wheat bread, an apple, two packets of jelly and a packet of instant oatmeal.
"I ate the piece of bread; a lady was offering instant coffee in the common area but I didn't have a mug.
"I saved the apple and oatmeal packet in my locker since I don't go to the commissary until next Tuesday.
"If I do get hungry, I can at least have something to eat," she added.
Shah, who once lived a life of luxury, is serving time behind bars for running a nationwide telemarketing scam that defrauded elderly people out of tens or millions of dollars.
She spoke about her journey heading over to the prison, after she surrendered herself over to the police.
"Two miles from Bryan Federal Prison Camp (FPC), I could not breathe and my hands went numb. I knew I was having an anxiety attack."
She said that a friend, whose name is Kashanna and goes by the nickname Special K, surrendered the same day as her and the pair have bonded.
"We've kind of stuck together the first full day as we both walked in shocked, stunned and scared trying to figure out where we go from here," she told her 235k followers.
She said that she cried silently whilst sitting on her top bunk bed, adding that her heart felt like it had been "broken into a million pieces".
"As I stare into the dark, I think this has to be a dream - but here I am. I keep thinking this is insane, completely ridiculous," she added in her journal entry.
"I know why I'm here, but this just feels like someone like me doesn't belong in here. I've never been in trouble before. Then I instantly stop myself from going down this self-destructive path of thinking.
"I am here because I did this to myself and there is no one to blame but me."
Talking about her victims, she wrote: "People got hurt because of my decisions. While incarcerated I will work to make amends and reconcile with the victims of my crime."
